How did you get into coaching?

I was asked to help assist in a group and loved it. So then I started to get into it more after finishing my studies.

 

What are your credentials / past experience, for working in your position?

I have played on the British tour until recently and compete annually in Italy.

I have coached at a school coaching aspiring professionals who were  competing on the junior tour, coached at a well known club in North London, in Spain on tennis holidays and tots for the teddy tennis company.

 

How would you describe your current role and responsibilities?

My current role is teaching members of different ages and abilities. I teach groups and individuals. I am enjoying the new challenge and meeting and helping improve their skills.

 

What do you enjoy about your role at Chorleywood Lawn Tennis Club?

Everyday is interesting and varied. The members are very friendly and it’s a lovely place to work. The club is very well managed.

 

What challenges do you see facing the sport?

Corona virus affecting the professionals playing games with no crowds.

 

What is one thing you constantly spot with pupils with that you want to fix?

Using their dominant hand too much on the double-handed backhand.

 

What’s your favourite Movie?

Wimbledon

 

What do you enjoy doing when you are not coaching?

I enjoy travelling and also playing lots of different sports. I play badminton weekly and also beach tennis.
