A Few Things To Remember

A Few Things To Remember

Hi everyone, I hope you are enjoying your tennis and have noticed our rebranded, significantly larger club sign above the gates when you enter the club grounds.

The hot weather is proving surprisingly popular with members making very good use of the courts.

That brings with it the need for a few reminders:

  • Please remember to roll the numbers on the combination lock on the gates when you re-attach it to a gate after opening.
  • Everyone attending the Club MUST write their name in the calendar book in the Clubhouse.
  • Last ones to leave the club grounds, please check that both the clubhouse door locks are correctly locked and of course that the gate combination lock is correctly secured
  • The extractor fans in the toilets are on timers; please do NOT switch them off
  • Please do familiarise yourself thoroughly with the Accident & Emergency procedure sent out last week; key points:
  1. The key to unlock the high gate at the entrance on the main road is in the keysafe outside the clubhouse; the no. is the same as the gate.
  2. Please ensure you wear suitable tennis shoes that are fit for purpose.

Finally, social distancing.

The court usage is relatively high at the moment, particularly with the various club sessions with members mixing in and socialising afterwards.

Although the return to social tennis and socialising afterwards is very welcome, my observation is a degree of complacency with members not socially distancing as per the current guidelines.

Please think very carefully about this and act accordingly; Covid-19 has not gone away.

Stay alert, control the virus and save lives.

Kind regards, Chris
